SciAps is a Boston-area instrument maker that designs, builds, and services handheld XRF, LIBS, and Vis-NIR analyzers used across mining, recycling, aerospace, and dozens of other industries worldwide.
We're headquartered at 6 Riverside Drive in Andover, Massachusetts, where our engineering, manufacturing, and support teams work under one roof. That matters more than it sounds: the people who design our analyzers are the same people who answer the phone when a customer needs help calibrating one in the field, so problems get fixed instead of routed through layers of support tiers.
SciAps was built by engineers and product leaders with deep roots in the handheld elemental analysis industry, the same lineage of people who helped build and grow the Niton and InnovX handheld XRF businesses before starting SciAps to push the technology further. That combination of institutional experience and a from-scratch engineering approach is why SciAps holds the distinction of building the first handheld LIBS analyzer ever brought to market, and why our X-Series XRF and Z-Series LIBS lines continue to lead on specifications that matter in the field: detector durability, battery life, and elemental range.
Today, that same team backs more than 20 years of combined experience building handheld analyzers, applied across a product line that spans XRF, LIBS, and (following our acquisition of the ASD spectroradiometer business) Vis-NIR spectroscopy. Whether the job is grading scrap on a recycling line, verifying weld PMI on an operating pipeline, screening consumer goods for RoHS compliance, or mapping ore grade in the field, SciAps builds the analyzer for it, and stands behind it with a real service and calibration program, not just a warranty card.
We sell directly and through a global network of distributors, with a substantial international presence of our own: SciAps offices in China, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Canada, as well as in Africa.
